RFC 8723: Double Encryption Procedures for the Secure Real.
The RFC 2833 packet’s RTP header also makes use of the timestamp field. Because events often last longer than the RFC 2833 packets sending interval, the timestamp of the first 2833 packet for an event represents the beginning reference time for subsequent RFC 2833 packets for that same event.
The following features of the SR packets should also be verified: o that the length field is consistent with both the length of the packet and the RC field o that the SSRC in SR packets is consistent with that in the RTP data packets o that the NTP timestamp in the SR packets is sensible (matches the wall clock time on the sending machine) o that the RTP timestamp in the SR packets is.
Real-time Transfer Protocol (RTP) provides end-to-end delivery services for data (such as interactive audio and video) with real-time characteristics. It was primarily designed to support multiparty multimedia conferences. However it is used for different types of applications which we will go through shortly. RTP is a standard specified in RFC 1889. More recent versions are RFC 3550 and RFC.
RFC 8079 RTCP Translation in B2BUAs February 2017 Source Description (SDES) ( RFC3550 ): If the B2BUA has changed the SSRC of any RTP stream addressed in any of the chunks of an incoming SDES message, it MUST update the related SSRCs in all the chunks.
Payload AC3 audio as RTP packets (RFC 4184) rtpamrdepay. Extracts AMR or AMR-WB audio from RTP packets (RFC 3267) rtpamrpay. Payload-encode AMR or AMR-WB audio into RTP packets (RFC 3267) rtpbvdepay. Extracts BroadcomVoice audio from RTP packets (RFC 4298) rtpbvpay. Packetize BroadcomVoice audio streams into RTP packets (RFC 4298) rtpceltdepay.
Abstract An RTP profile (SAVP) for secure real-time communications and another profile (AVPF) to provide timely feedback from the receivers to a sender are defined in RFC 3711 and RFC 4585, respectively. This memo specifies the combination of both profiles to enable secure RTP communications with feedback.
The current RTP RFC is 3550, dated July 2003. This obsoleted RFC 1889.
